The Rincon Mountains resulted from uplifting due to plate tectonics colliding 15 – 30 million years ago. The Rincon Mountains are located just to the east of Tucson and have hiking trails for all levels. At 8,666 feet, Mica Mountain is the tallest in the range. It was here that the Tuar Tums took Jeff Kinner when he stumbled upon them when they were preparing to send LaKaWa back to Yendola. Mica mountain was also where Alexa went to meet Asa for the first time.
